The Institute of Traffic, Licensing, and Metro Police of South Africa (ITLMPOSA) Conference, held in Durban from 27-29 September, 2023, served as a pivotal platform for Biptel, in collaboration with Motorola Solutions, to showcase their mission-critical solutions aimed at transforming law enforcement in South Africa. Our Mission

 A standout moment from the conference was the session featuring Alderman JP Smith, MMC: Safety & Security City of Cape Town. His profound insights into ICT trends and the pivotal role of technology in law enforcement resonated deeply. Mr. Nkululeko Shoba, Biptel’s Executive Director, stated, “JP Smith’s insights reinforced our conviction that technology is indispensable in law enforcement; it empowers the force to be more effective.”

One of the major challenges discussed at the conference was the budgetary constraints faced by municipalities. By leveraging private equity funds for capital and allowing municipalities to spread payments over multiple years, they aim to overcome this budgetary hurdle.
